Where your personal data is stored and how it is used.
As stated on the About page, this app is currently being developed by one learning nerd as a project that is useful personally. It's been made publicly available to see if it would be of any use to others.
The purpose of this app is to allow learning nerds around the world to store and manage learning resources, as well as to recommend and rate them, and to track learning progress and share results.
So as you'll see below, it's primarily data about tracks, topics, resources and projects that is stored and used.
As a rule, cookies will make your browsing experience better. However, you may prefer to disable cookies on this site and on others. The most effective way to do this is to disable cookies in your browser. We suggest consulting the Help section of your browser or taking a look at the About Cookies website which offers guidance for all modern browsers.
The data that you enter into this app about your study track, topics, resources and projects is stored in this app's database so that you can view and manage these things on the app.
Your email address is stored securely in the app's database in order to identify your account, such as when you log in.
Anonymous data about tracks, topics, resources and projects is also stored in a separate Algolia search database. This database powers features in the app like the 'Recommended Resources' and 'Recently-Added Resource' features.
In addition, anonymous information about pageviews is sent to Google Analytics, in order for this app's developer to see if other people are checking it out.
No identifying information about you or your study track, topics, resources or projects is shared with any third parties.
To remove yourself from this list and no longer receive updates about Curriculum, you can use this form. You will also find an 'Unsubscribe' link at the bottom of each email, which will remove you from the list if you click on it.
If you believe that identifying information about yourself has been stored by this app in a way that you are not happy with, or if you would simply like any identifying information removed, you can contact firstname.lastname@example.org. We can work together to make sure that any identifying information is removed from databases used by this app.
If you have any questions about the above, contact Louise Swift at email@example.com.
